what you'll be doing, and we need from you...


We have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join our busy Head Office team. We're looking for someone who has experience in credit control, accounts payable, invoice matching and the use of SAGE software.


You'll need to:


  • Participle in the day-to-day operation of the Accounts function ensuring compliance with group procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement to the Accounts Receivable process.
  • Assist the leadership team with the implementation of agreed process changes for the Finance function.
  • Build strong customer relationships, focusing on quality service within the team.
  • Work with local depot teams to ensure invoices are raised and sent in a timely manner.
  • Actively chase aged debt by telephone, e-mail and letter.
  • Allocate payments made by BACS/cheques against relevant invoices.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to resolve queries.
  • Raise invoices and credit notes.
  • Investigate and clear unallocated cash promptly.
  • Maintain debtor accounts with up to date details.
  • Liaise with Banking Services regarding payments received.
  • Update month end aged debt spreadsheets in line with timetable.
  • Issue customer statements.
